– and with Neworn, I am building a smart, circular world for high-quality children’s clothing that feels easy, trustworthy, and right.

But it wasn’t always this way. I used to love shopping a lot myself. I saw how normal it had become to constantly buy new things. How quickly items lose their value, even though so much work, resources, and love go into them.

The turning point came when many babies were born in my circle – and I saw how naturally vast amounts of new clothing were bought, even though it is often worn for only a few months. I saw how much love the parents around me put into their children’s wardrobes: to ensure the baby is wrapped up comfortably, protected, and full of warmth.

And at some point, there was this thought: Why does secondhand so often feel complicated, uncertain, or “less beautiful” – even though there is so much value and so much love in it?

I started looking into circular systems, smart technology, and the question: How can you make secondhand as easy and trustworthy as buying new – perhaps even more beautiful?
